Privacy policy
Effective October 17, 2026
This policy explains how Shakaib LLC ("we", "us"), the maker of CQRME, handles information. Shakaib LLC is based in New Jersey, USA.
What the CQRME extension stores
Everything you save in CQRME (logins, identities, credit cards, secure notes, settings and fill history) is stored encrypted in your browser on your computer. If you turn on sync, an encrypted copy is written to a folder you choose in your own cloud drive. That file is protected by your master password, and neither we nor your cloud provider can read it.
What we collect
Nothing from the extension. CQRME has no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. It doesn't send your browsing history or your vault anywhere.
Network requests the extension makes
| When | Where | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| You run the breach check | api.pwnedpasswords.com (Have I Been Pwned) | The first 5 characters of a SHA-1 hash of each password. This cannot identify your password. |
| Sync is on | None directly | CQRME writes an encrypted file to a folder on your computer. Your own drive app (OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox) uploads it under its own privacy policy. |
Why the extension asks for its permissions
- Read and change data on websites: to find login, address and card fields and fill them after you approve with your PIN. CQRME reads form fields, not page content, and sends nothing off your computer.
- Storage: to keep your encrypted vault and settings.
- Idle detection: to lock CQRME when your computer locks.
- Clipboard: to copy passwords when you ask, and clear them after 30 seconds.
- Context menus and alarms: for the right-click menu and the auto-lock timer.
